[EMAIL ADDRESS]

We answer everything ourselves. There is no ticketing system and no chatbot.

Response times. [FILL IN honestly. "Within one working day" is a promise you have to keep. If you are one person and it is sometimes two days, say two.]

What to include

It saves a round trip if your first message has:

  • The registration you checked
  • The email address you used, if it differs from the one you are writing from
  • The date of the check
  • What happened, and what you expected instead

For anything about a specific report, the registration alone usually lets us find it.

What we can help with

Something in a report looks wrong. Tell us the registration and what you think is incorrect. Records do occasionally contain errors, and where the error sits with the source rather than with us we will tell you how to get it corrected.

A check returned nothing. Usually a very recent plate transfer or a registration too new to have reached the dataset. Send us the reg and we will look.

Billing, refunds or a duplicate payment. Include the date and the last four digits of the card. Never send us a full card number, and we will never ask for one.

Something we have written is wrong. Always welcome. Tell us which page and what is incorrect, and if you are right we will fix it and say so.

Press, partnerships or data enquiries. Same address.

What we cannot help with

Who owns a particular bike. We cannot release keeper names or addresses, and neither can anyone else without going through the DVLA's own process.

Deciding whether to buy a bike. We will explain what a marker on a report means. Whether a particular machine at a particular price is a good idea is your call.

Anything requiring legal advice. We can tell you what a record shows. For what to do about your own situation, speak to a solicitor or Citizens Advice.
